Dear Mr O'Connor
HIGHWAYS PDG MEETING
Having attended today's Highways PDG Meeting, I would like to ask you as Acting Monitoring Officer, how appropriate you think it is for the Chairman of the Highways Policy Development Group (PDG), Cllr Cooper, to deliver a political condemnation of a fellow Councillor to the Group immediately before they make their recommendations to the Executive Group that, "It is not appropriate for a bypass to be used as a single issue for political motives."
These remarks, far from being impartial, as any Chairman should be, were crushing, gratuitous and political, and as such, I consider them to be unacceptable. Especially as Cllr Cooper had tried to earlier emphasise that the Highways PDG was not political!
Boston deserves better.
Yours sincerely
Robert Fisher
